Cellar Keeper Player Tools
Static planners and legends you can keep open while sorting the cellar.
Cellar Keeper asks you to remember two overwhelming systems at once: where each wine type lives on the central map, and which skill upgrades deserve your next point in Cozy Mode. The main guides explain why those systems matter; this Tools section gives you printable-style references you can follow mid-session without rereading a six-hundred-word article.
Everything here is static guidance — checklists, tables, and workflow notes derived from launch mechanics (August 6, 2026, Steam app 4935510). Nothing auto-reads your save file or connects to Steam. Treat these pages like a paper crib sheet next to your keyboard.
What tools are available
| Tool | Purpose | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Skill Planner | Upgrade priority list with cooldown notes | You just earned skill points in Cozy Mode |
| Symbol Legend | How to read map icons and memorise cabinets | You enter a new wing and keep walking to wrong racks |
Both tools link outward to deeper wiki hubs: Skills, Map & Symbols, Guides, and Achievements when you need full context.
Skill Planner: spend points with confidence
The Skill Planner page ranks all seven upgradeable skills — Spot Matches, Batch Grab, Quick Order, Target Hint, Auto Place, Sprint, and Jump — in the order most players benefit from them. It includes a markdown checklist you can mentally tick off after each purchase, plus a table calling out that every skill cooldown can be upgraded five times.
Early cellar hours feel slow because you walk bottle by bottle. Two search skills change that curve. Spot Matches highlights matching labels through walls; Batch Grab pulls them to your feet. The planner tells you to max those before quality-of-life helpers like Quick Order, and to treat Sprint and Jump as late luxuries because movement upgrades do not fix misread labels.

Symbol Legend: stop guessing cabinets
The Symbol Legend explains how icons on the central map correspond to wine types on bottle labels (line two). It walks through a memorisation workflow: anchor three symbols per room, say the wine type aloud when you pick up a bottle, and verify with yellow placement feedback before committing a full carry load.
For the full icon glossary, jump to Cabinet Symbols on the Map hub. The tool page here focuses on how to use symbols during play, not every asset filename.
When to use tools versus guides
Use guides when you are learning a system for the first time — controls, story, mode rules, or completion routing. Use tools when you already understand the basics but need a fast reminder in the middle of a sort session.
Example flow for a new player:
- Read Getting Started once.
- Keep Symbol Legend open while clearing the first wing.
- After your first skill point drops, switch to Skill Planner before buying anything.
- Return to Guides Hub when modes or achievements block progress.
Tools and game modes
Cozy Mode is where both tools shine — upgrades exist, and map learning pays off over hours. Speedrun Mode disables skills, so the Skill Planner becomes a planning doc for your earlier Cozy run rather than an in-run reference. Symbol memorisation still matters in Speedrun because routing is the entire game; see Speedrun Mode for mode-specific tips.
Hardcore Mode adds breakage tension but does not change label or symbol rules. The Symbol Legend remains relevant; just move carefully with full carry loads.
Printing and second-monitor tips
These pages use simple markdown tables and checklists that render cleanly in the wiki layout. If you play on one monitor, bookmark them on a phone or tablet. If you dual-screen, pin the Skill Planner until Batch Grab is fully upgraded — that is usually the longest stretch where point spending decisions matter most.
Staying accurate after patches
EgoTrampoline may rebalance cooldown lengths or skill costs post-launch. We update tool pages when verified changes hit Steam patch notes. Always confirm critical details on the official store page if a tool recommendation feels outdated after an update.

Tools will not sort bottles for you, but they prevent the two most common wastes of time: buying the wrong upgrade first, and hiking to the wrong cabinet twice. Keep them handy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Are these Cellar Keeper tools interactive?
No. They are static reference pages with checklists and tables. You follow the guidance manually while playing; nothing connects to your save file.
Which tool should I open first?
New players benefit from the Symbol Legend while learning the map. After you earn skill points in Cozy Mode, use the Skill Planner before spending them.
Do tools help in Speedrun Mode?
The Skill Planner applies to Cozy progression only because Speedrun disables upgrades. Symbol memorisation from the Symbol Legend still helps Speedrun routing.
Where is the full cabinet symbol list?
See [Cabinet Symbols](/map/cabinet-symbols/) on the Map hub. The Symbol Legend tool explains how to use those icons during play.
